Start with one memory.
You don’t need to document your entire digital life in one sitting. Start with a few accounts, then add their connections.
01 / Install and upgrade
- Download and run the Windows x64 installer.
- Create a local vault with a master password of at least 12 characters. It is never uploaded and cannot be reset by the website.
- Enable “Remember this computer” for automatic unlock on launch, or turn it off in Settings. Your master password is still needed for backup recovery.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + L in the app to lock. With device unlock enabled, use the same shortcut on the lock screen to open it.
- Upgrading: export an encrypted backup, close the app, then install the new version. The vault location stays the same.
02 / Capture, then review
Enter: “My Acme account uses [email protected] for sign-up and my Japan backup SIM for recovery.” Review the proposed objects, fields and connections. Save only after checking them.
“No longer used” means deactivate. “Delete” means remove the object. “Unlink” removes a relationship only. Partial dates remain partial. Unfinished proposals stay in the inbox.
03 / Choose your AI
- Local model: install a model in Settings. Inference runs on your computer; model download needs internet.
- Ollama: enter its local URL and model name, then test the connection.
- Your API key: enter a compatible endpoint, model and key. Your provider bills you directly.
- Website account: sign in with GitHub, Google or your website account in the system browser, approve the matching device code, then return to the app. Sign-in does not change your model. Only your selected cloud provider receives the current input and necessary context.
Keep passwords, tokens, SSH private keys, CVVs and full card numbers in your password manager. Save references or the last four card digits here.
04 / Backup and restore
Settings → Export encrypted backup. It still needs your master password. Keep another copy on a separate drive. To restore, choose the backup and enter its master password. Wrong passwords and damaged files fail.
Redacted JSON is for sharing: SECRET data is removed, PRIVATE data can be masked, and cloud sessions and API keys are excluded. It is not a full encrypted backup.
05 / Browser extension
Find the extension folder in the install directory. Open chrome://extensions or edge://extensions, enable developer mode and load the unpacked folder. On a webpage, click the capture action and choose a sign-in identity. The desktop app must be running and unlocked.
The extension reads the active tab only after your click. It does not read history, cookies or form passwords. URL query, hash and credentials are removed.
